RFMS RACING TEAM INFO
CREW CHIEF
Jim Long
OWNER
DON FIKE
Don Fike developed his life-long passion for racing at an early age. During his college years, he put
together his first limited stock car – competing in a six cylinder at the Mazon Speed Bowl from 1968 to
1974. Don continued to race late models into the early 1980’s; however, he quit racing in 1983 in order to
dedicate his time to building an organization that provides residential care services to individuals with
developmental disabilities and older adults. While he quit driving, Don never lost his passion for racing.
And in 1992, he decided to help his sons AJ and Aaron pursue their own racing dreams. Don later founded
RFMS Racing in 1996, and was one of the elite open-wheel operators in the United States Auto Club –
racing Midgets and Silver Crown cars throughout the country. In addition to his sons, some of the best
drivers in the country have driven, and are continuing to drive, RFMS Racing cars.
Don Fike was inducted in the Mazon Speed Bowl and Grundy Co. Speedway Hall of Fame in 2010, and he
stated that one of the best things about racing is that he has met so many great friends through it.
